A voice shaped by fifteen years of classical devotion — spanning six languages, from baroque tenderness to the drama of the Russian repertoire.
Maria-Emma Lyons is a Boston-based mezzo-soprano whose musical formation spans fifteen years of serious classical study. From 2011 to 2021, she developed her foundational technique and a deep specialisation in Armenian vocal repertoire under the tutelage of Victoria Avetisyan.
Since 2021, she has continued to expand her operatic range under the guidance of Mikhail Svetlov, preparing arias and art song in Italian, German, Spanish, Armenian, English, and Russian.
A Second Place laureate of the 2019 American Protégé International Music Competition, she has performed as soloist at concert halls and cultural events across Massachusetts and Armenia.
